When you are looking for a special place in Piemonte, check this one out. An old historic house nicely renovated, every single room is special and different. If you want to eat typical piemontese food, this is the place to go. With kids easy, there is always a pasta dish possible. The facility has a pool as well. Of course you can select different wines from Piemonte.
We have celebrated our wedding with 50 guests at Casa Scaparone in May 2022 and we were very happy we choose for Casa Scaparone. This is a family business run by two beautiful women. Carolina and Allesandra made us feel everything was in …
The place had potential but the price per night does not justify the service provided. The beds are very hard and comfortable, the showerhead was not working properly, the staff neither helpful nor friendly. The food was great so i would recommend going for dinner but definitely not staying for the night.
Review of Casa Scaparone Osteria
We stayed at Casa Scaparone for 5 nights and we dined at their Osteria on the first and third night. The first night we really enjoyed dinner! The food was lovely and maybe because we were tird and hungry we enjoyed every plate of the set menu, and the novelty of it all meant that we didn't mind the long wait between meals. Our table was booked for 19:30 but didn't finish until gone 22:00.
The antipasti and our primi were interesting and tasty. The secondi and dessert were less impressive. Overall we had a good experience despite the delay.
The second time we had dinner there it was a real disappointment. The service was absurdly slow, we sat down at 19:30 and we didn't get our fist antipasti until nearly 20:30. It was nearly 22:30 and we were still waiting for dessert. Even more disappointingly, some of the food was the same as two days before, and the rest was rather underwhelming. For example, as one of our antipasti we had half a tomato in a pool of olive oil, and sadly a rather tasteless tomato it was! The pasta dish was also very bland. So when we had our small dessert just after 22:30 to share, we were rather fed up.
There are amazing places to eat in Alba so Casa Scaparone Osteria would not be my first choice unfortunately.
This place was one of the highlights of our trip! The staff (despite not confirming our reservation per E-Mail, I guess it's an Italian thing) had our room ready and they even kindly changed it to another with more light that was available. The snacks with local wine were tasty and the whole property is just awesome to explore! Vineyards, hazelnut trees, fruit trees are growing everywhere and you can just find your spot and relax surrounded by the nature. Breakfast was amazing, almost (if not) all home-made and delicious. Great place to come back to for sure!
What a wonderful domain! Very friendly staff, especially the young gentlemen at diner who impressed me with their language skills!
Speaking of diner, the 5 course meal is very satisfactory although a little repetitive ( twice raw meat and parmiggiano). Breakfast is a little disappointing…Despite being homemade, the bread was never fresh and rather stale on our last morning…its a shame not to serve local summer fruit especially when they grow on site (the yellow plums!!).
The aviator room was charming, big, clean…no complaints! It’s not air conditionned but two electric fans were stationned which was good enough for us.
I definitly recommend casa scaparone and would consider coming back in the fall!
We liked the pasta at dinner especially. Nice staff. Nice courtyard. Great grappa.||||Breakfast rather mediocre. Sweet cakes dry and boring. Pool not built yet but neither no sunbathing/relaxation area (at all ! - in such a big property). …
This was our second stay at Casa Scaperone, since we felt the place had potential, despite a few minor issues.||This turned out to be a mistake, since everything has gone downhill from there. ||Uninspired food, no AC or wifi in the suites, …
